Local residents have been receiving telephone calls from sales persons using high pressure sales tactics, trying to arrange to visit and carry out a survey.

The Police stress that these companies have nothing to do with them or other official body and should not be allowed access to your property.

If they call at your door you are advised to dial 999 and inform the police immediately. Police incident log no. 333 refers to this notice.

Please remember that by arranging for them to visit, you will be inviting them to your home, losing the protection that you have against cold callers. They will also gain knowledge of any security weakness that you may have.
